Sugar Ray（据说应该翻译作“拔丝”乐队-_-bbb），这支来自南加州的rock band成军虽早，出名却是90年代末期了，他们的音乐风格用一个字就可以形容——Summer，他们只在夏天出片，歌儿一听就让人想起夏天——有时是夏天的club，有时是夏天的海岸，总之就是阳光明媚、活泼愉快。与此相反的，他们的歌词却是比较深的，那个身上有着13个纹身、英俊得完全不像个rock band主唱的Mark McGrath（据说有恋爱恐惧症，嘿嘿）经常用很夸张的Elvis式肢体语言在MTV中摇摆（经典例子是Every Morning），加上十分十分正宗的传统摇滚式配器，恐怕在今天活着的乐队中找不出第二个这样的band。
