Whopper的意思是“庞然大物”，有时也指“弥天大谎”，这里显然是双关语。微软透露Longhorn PC的“平均配置”是这样的：
Microsoft is expected to recommend that the ‘average’ Longhorn PC feature a dual-core CPU running at 4 to 6GHz; a minimum of 2 gigs of RAM; up to a terabyte of storage; a 1 Gbit, built-in, Ethernet-wired port and an 802.11g wireless link; and a graphics processor that runs three times faster than those on the market today.
TheOpenCD 1.4 Released
TheOpenCD是个专门提供高质量开源应用的distro，最新的R1.4包括了OpenOffice、AbiWord、PDFCreator、GIMP、Mozilla、Miranda IM、FileZilla、TightVNC、WinHTTrack、PuTTY、Audacity、CDex、Tux Paint、Crack Attack!、Sokoban YASC、Neverball、Celestia、Really Slick Screensavers、7-Zip、SciTE、WinPT、NetTime，它甚至还包含了丰富的支持文档！不过目前TheOpenCD只支持Windows，这一点乍看有些奇怪，但是其实是很合理的：第一、Linux下多的是好用的distro，Windows下反而自由软件普及率很低；第二、老外版权意识强，不可能像我们一样拿大把价值不菲的商业软件当作免费的来用——所以这样的一个package还是很有意义的，不是么？
