Functional Programming（函数编程）最近越来越热，已经有点泛黄的LISP经典也被懂的抑或不懂的geek众翻出来玩。最近两个行家不约而同的开始做一个有趣的尝试：将LISP经典教材中的例子移植到最前沿的语言上——我猜一方面是温故知新，另一方面也是对新兴函数编程语言的一种深入的考察，顺带证明大师就是大师，经典就是经典，编程的思想和本质与语言无关，永远也不会过时。这两个有趣的project分别是：

Programmers At Work, 22 Years Later In 1986, the book Programmers at Work presented interviews with 19 programmers and software designers from the early days of personal computing including Charles Simonyi, Andy Hertzfeld, Ray Ozzie, Bill Gates, and Pac Man programmer Toru Iwatani. Leonard Richardson tracked down these pioneers and has compiled a nice summary of where they are now, 22 years later. from Slashdot

距离 Harry Potter 系列终结篇 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow 发布还有4天。按照计划，昨天位于英格兰的印刷厂已经完成了印刷，所有成品书被打包，今天开始运往世界各地。
在预定的7月21日发售日之前，包括作者、编辑、插画家以及少数专家在内只有不到20人知道Harry的最终命运，为了确保这一点，出版者动用了可以使用的一切手段来加强保密。虽然据说 HP 每发布新的一部保密措施就升一级，但是没有什么保密措施可以和这次的终结篇相提并论。所有印刷工人都受到警告，泄露书中的任何内容将会立即被解雇；出版商聘请了大量的警卫来看守专门为 HP7 租用的仓库；将书运到零售商的卡车都加装专门的卫星跟踪系统确保其没有偏离正常路线；新书放在特制的密封货盒中，一旦私自拆封就会报警；零售商必须签订一个严格保密合同，承诺在21日凌晨之前不得泄露任何内容。。。据报道整个安全行动将耗费超过1000万英镑。

Shrek 3 5月18日北美公映。看了介绍。。。这个期待度超级高啊。。。
Ocean’s 13 6月8日公映。Al Pacino大大出场了哇，小侄儿Andy Garcia的对手戏咋演。。。

DNE，就是Bjarne Stroustrup老大的名著”The Design and Evolution Of C++”，中文译名为《C++语言的设计和演化》，翻译者是裘宗雁老师，她翻译的《程序设计实践》(The Practice of Programming, Brian W. Kernighan/Rob Pike)是迄今难以超越的计算机图书译文顶峰。但是很遗憾，这次翻译“大作”让人失望了。
